Associate Producer Reporting into: SVP Production Director of Executing Producer Location: New York, NY Your Role: An Associate Producer at McCann New York is passionate about creative and finding ways to make great work! Our Associate Producers liaise between account and creative teams and our production partners, and they are multi-taskers who produce creative across all platforms under supervision. As an Associate Producer, you will learn to leverage your understanding of production to guide teams and clients through a project lifecycle. Strong communication skills are essential to drive decisions and next steps. What You Do: Work directly with account and creative teams to understand business objectives and strategies for production deliverables (including Test Productions, TV/OLV, Audio, and Still Content). Plan production processes, managing deliverables, budgets, schedules, and talent contracts from pre-production to delivery. Engage and select production partners, bid vendors, negotiate rates, and work with Business Affairs. Research emerging trends and technology for innovative production solutions. Manage third-party vendors or offshore partners as needed. Maintain communication with creative, account management, and project management teams for smooth workflow. Produce various forms of content, especially video, from conception to completion with supervision. Use knowledge of talent/union regulations to ensure compliance. What You Bring: 1-3 years agency production experience or similar with a passion to learn. Creative mindset with a love of production. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with excellent organization, communication, and time management skills. Developing proficiency in production processes from concept to delivery. Effective negotiation and conflict management skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Team player capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Willingness to work off hours as required. Ability to travel less than 10% annually.
