We are seeking a talented Forensic Accounting Consultant to join our team!
How You'll Make an Impact at Rehmann: - Perform in-depth forensic accounting and analysis of a variety of financial records and record keeping systems, by utilizing accounting, auditing, analytical, technical, and investigative skills
- Exercise judgment in determining analytical methods and techniques to achieve objectives
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of financial data and compiled findings in forensic accounting reports
- Review documents and testimony regarding subjects to be addressed in report
- Utilize available data to reach sound conclusions, and provide clear recommendations
- Assist in drafting expert reports with findings and supporting documentation for litigation or insurance purposes
- Consultant on corporate investigations, divorce settlements, governmental accounting and litigation support
- Assist with all facets of engagements, including engagement management administration
- Gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize supporting documentation
- Review and analyze historical financial statements, accounting records and tax returns, industry information, revenue and expense projections
- Data mine and analyze accounting data and related records
- Reconstruct financial and accounting records, fraudulent transactions, etc.
- Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate and critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions
- Draft reports and the prepare related tables, exhibits and charts
- Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues, referral sources and clients
- Develop business relationships with experts in the field, specifically law firms and corporate comptrollers
Your Desired Skills, Experiences and Values: - CFE, CPA, and/or CFF certifications or working towards completion
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Audit, CPA and testimonial experience, a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to handle short deadlines, work well under pressure, prioritize multiple projects, plan work activities and use time efficiently
- Able to work independently to gather facts, organize data, perform various analysis, and identify relevant issues
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to analytical software, such as IDEA
