General Cleaner Location: Lynchburg, VA
Schedule: Full-time, Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs
The Budd Group believes a clean, safe, and well-maintained campus is fundamental to the success and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. We're seeking a diligent and customer-focused General Cleaner to join our dedicated facilities team.
The Opportunity We're looking for a proactive and experienced
General Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and order of our bustling campus during the afternoon and evening hours. This isn't just about cleaning; it's about contributing to a positive and healthy environment for our entire school community. You'll be on the move, interacting with staff, and ensuring our facilities are always in top shape.
Key Responsibilities - Perform comprehensive cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, and dusting all designated areas.
- Pull trash and recyclables from all receptacles throughout the campus.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms and ensure they are well-stocked.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas , hallways, classrooms, and offices.
- Respond promptly to immediate cleaning needs or spills.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
What We're Looking For - Customer Service Skills: You'll interact with staff and students, so a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor is essential.
- Ability to Multi-Task: You can efficiently manage various cleaning duties across different areas of the campus.
- Physical Stamina: This role involves lots of walking across a large campus. You must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform tasks like bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: You take pride in your work and ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard.
- Reliability: Punctual and committed to your Sun-Thur or Tues-Sat 1:00 PM - 9:30pm PM schedule.
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience in a commercial or institutional setting is preferred.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a comprehensive background check is required.
