Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to hire for a TIG Welder role with a well established metal fabrication company serving the Pacific Northwest, specializing in high-quality custom fabrication, welding, and related services. The right candidate will not only utilize their TIG welding skills on stainless steel and other metals, but also provide support around the other departments of the shop when needed.
Starting Pay: $25-36/hr, DOE
Schedule: M-F 5:30am-2pm, occasional OT as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper safety protocols
Assist in other shop departments during slower welding periods
Support production goals through versatile cross-departmental collaboration
Maintain quality standards and perform visual inspections of completed work
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of welding experience (additional experience preferred)
Proficiency in TIG welding techniques
Ability to work with stainless steel and various other metals
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple welding processes (MIG, stick welding)
Previous metal fabrication shop experience
Familiarity with powder coating and finishing processes
AWS welding certification
